A black and white kind of day

Yesterday was..... a little gloomy, kind of a portend of things to come. The rain, reigned over us all day. But there were moments when it stopped.
It was actually a great day to go out and experiment with the monochrome settings in my camera.
Trying to remember all the various dials, menus, and buttons is challenging, but the more I use them the easier it is to remember them.
I love Black and White photography, everything feels pared down, nothing distracts from the beauty of the subject. It's drama, and glamour, all wrapped up together.

Even ordinary plants look special, and exotic.

And just in case you thought it rained all day, the sun did come out for a little while.

  2. These photos are fabulous! When things are in shades of grey you can focus on the various shapes so much easier! Really beautiful
