Remember that game? We used to play it as kids. Someone in the circle would hide a button in their hands, and the kid outside the circle had to figure out who had it. When the correct guess was made, they could change spots. The button would be shuffled to a new person, and the game went on.
Well something popped up in Blogger the other day, and as observant as I am, it only took me a week to figure out what it was.

Thanks to everyone who has signed up! I really do appreciate it, and every time the number jumps, it makes my heart sing.
My question is how do I sign up on yours? I have tried, and searched, and looked, but to no avail. I know that I can sign up on my own blog. I even accidentally rated myself on technorati, anyone know how to undo that?
What am I doing wrong, and where are your buttons?
its actually an option on your blogger dashboard I believe. Some people add the little widget on the front page of their blog, for example on mine its somewhere on there, where it says something about following my blog, you can add that to the front of yours by going into blogger and organizing the layout of your blog.
ReplyDeleteAhhh technorati...I dont get it. I mean, I guess I get it, I just dont really GET it, you know? Haha! I have no idea how to change anything on there, for a while I accidently displayed my full (first, middle, last) name. Haha oops. So much for a tad of anonymity huh?

On your dashboard on blogger, below all the stuff about adding a new post and veiwing/updating your profile, there are a couple of tabs. Mine has three "blogs Im following, Blogger buzz, and blogs of note"
ReplyDelete"Blogs Im following" is the one you want here, at the bottom of the list that you follow, there is a button that says add, you can follow blogs though that.
Its a relatively new feature from what I can tell, so a lot of people havent added the actual box on their blog, but you can still add their blog under "blogs Im following"
You found my button okay, once I figured out how to put it on there, duh. Love those chinese lanterns or whatever they're really called. By the way, what rating did you give yourself on the technorati :) I don't know what that is but I hope you gave yourself the highest!!

ReplyDeleteFern, in Blogger there is a new button that lets us follow other blogs, I don't know if anyone else has it. I do have RSS feed through Google Reader, but would like to link to the followers also.

Ahh, gotcha. I logged in to my Blogger dashboard to see what you're talking about. It looks like Bekah explained what to do.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you want to follow a blog there if you are already using Google Reader?
If you go to my Wordpress site: http://ladyfi.wordpress.com, you will see an orange button in the top left-hand corner with the text: Subscribe to feed.
ReplyDeleteClick here and then save this bookmark. You can then just put your mouse over the bookmark to see if I have updated my posts and then you can click directly on the post you want to read without having to go to the whole site.
I also have a button further down on the left saying: Add this blog to Technocrati favourites. (Not really sure how effective this is though...)
By the way, those pumpkin photos are luscious - luscious, I tell you!
