Not breaking any records, but....

Not that we broke a record yesterday, but White Rock, BC, was the "hot spot" in Canada. Yes CANADA!
Yaaaaahooooo! Hot spot in the land of ice and snow. It was 11 Celsius here yesterday. I am not sure what that is in Fahrenheit, you will have to do your own conversions. Apparently quite warm for this time of year.
Back east, they are having record snowfalls, lots and lots of the white stuff. Here we had a little frost last night, just barely any, it was hard to find. I did manage to get a shot of some frost covering a plank.
I just know that my Dad will be calling his brother in Alberta, [ neighbouring province and very cold] to brag about the good weather we are having. But hot spot city that we are here, there is still one thing that I want to know. Why are my feet still so cold?

  1. We are in the middle of a two-day snow blizzard over here in Sweden!

But all those rowan berries mean the more snow and cold weather you will get ... well, that's how the saying goes anyway!

Your cold feet are yet another sign of cold weather to come...

  2. I'll trade your 11C for my -1C. Pretty photos (as always)!

  5. As you pointed out, Nova Scotia received over 30cms of snow on the weekend, but by Wednesday, it is supposed to be in the mid-teens again temperature-wise, with rain. Go figure...and won't that be a lovely mess? ;)

  10. Ha I think that your 11 degrees C is equal to 51 degrees F. You should be smiling, and happy and dancing in the streets! Great photos! :)

P.S. Vaguely connected - if my head and my neck are warm, my feet seem to stay ok.

  12. You certainly are posting some stunning photos, Jen. Enjoy the 'heatwave'. (Were you out sunning?) Freezing temps here and snow flurries ... leaves still to pick up and the Norway maple just won't bare her beautiful arms!

  14. No way! I'm not going to be jealous...oh no I'm not :) Actually, it's been an unusually warm Nov. "up here" but I know it won't last much longer. I love you photos, especially the blue tones in the bend and plank shot.

  15. Enjoy your warmer weather. It was 28 degrees F here this morning but suppose to warm up to 70. We all have colds from the drastic changes in temperatures!
