Every evening while I am couch sitting, I gaze at its radiant blossoms, the shimmering pink flowers chasing away the winter blues. This is a bulb that is worth waiting for, its exotic and enormous flowers are lovely to watch unfold.
Everyone should have one in their house, and the time to have them is during the winter blah months. So quick, run out and buy yourself a amaryllis before they are all gone, you won't regret it.

Jen, mine seem to have taken longer to flower this year, so I am still waiting but within the next day or two... I do like Amaryllis to brighten up the house in January.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Sylvia (England)
These photos certainly do chase away the winter blues! What a pretty color of pink. The few that I have had over the years were always fun to watch unfold. With my crazy cat, I would be afraid to even try to have one now! Thanks for sharing yours.
ReplyDeleteI've always admired those, but have never bought one...I may just do as you recommend!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first year in a long time that I haven't had one-I'll have to see if I can buy an already-started one. Never had a pink one like the beauty you have, though!
ReplyDeleteThat is, indeed, a beauty! I love that soft pink color!!! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh those make me feel all warm inside, great for the winter shivers! I think I may have to go buy one!
ReplyDeleteMine are outside.
ReplyDeleteIT's a glorious-looking amaryllis. Truly lovely!
ReplyDeleteWe actually have gotten in the teens a couple of times, the 20's this weekend coming up. My amaryllis are mush to, they will be back in no time. Our weather doesn't stay freezing for too long of a stretch. Bought more seeds this morning at Home Depot!! I believe I might need therapy, seed therapy!!LOL
ReplyDeleteIt is delightful! Love your try again attitude! :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your first try. Keep the plant though. It is a bulb & you can try again next year or even set it outside for summer if you aren't in warm enough place to grow it in the ground.

Sorry to hear about your first one! The new one is very pretty!
