I have heard you loud and clear. Fatigued Fridays will not be a regular post, I promise! I was just too tired to write last night.
Garden Centres in the spring, are hives of activities, a flurry of getting ready, unpacking, and cleanup. Some days it seems like you never get caught up, that every time you look up from the pile of boxes you have been unpacking there is another delivery truck zooming up the driveway.
Lately we have been sorting out plants that never made it through the winter. Our poor babies have had a lot of winter stress this year, due to the weather, and they are showing it. We have had to sort through,
might make it, have not made it, and hooray, they made it.
By the end of the day, our feet are dragging, sunshine or not. While we are happy to be active, there is a enormous amount of work to be done.
So I promise no more Fatigued Fridays, and I will try to stay awake long enough to write my posts.
These photos are exectionally good...the color is so intensely purple agains that lovely green! You just made my morning, Kim
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!! The photos are just fabulous!! I live in Portland, Oregon a bit south of you.
Happy Spring!! it's coming soon
These are beautiful photos (as ever). You sound like a real asset to your nursery, a real value adder as they say.

I used to work at a large nursery in South Carolina, I can understand your fatigue.
ReplyDeleteSo you work at a nursery? I too work in retail sales at a nursery. But I don't work thru the winter. Hopefully will be starting back in a week or two. Of course that means I will be blogging less but hey, gotta eat! Have a great weekend Jen.
ReplyDeleteLove the purple-ness of the purple flowers!
ReplyDeleteAw - no fatigued Fridays? Shucks... ;-)
Jen, what a busy time! Well, the good thing is you won't be bored! When a day drags, with not much to do, boredom can set it- that is much worse, I think ;)
ReplyDeleteKim, so glad that you liked the green, I love it, but I was not sure if it looked good on other computers.
ReplyDeleteBotanical Bird, so nice to hear from you, love your jewelery.
Rob, thank you for such a wonderful uplifting comment. I will just override the tiredness, and think good thoughts like that one.
Darla, Susie, nursery work/retail work is hard, but it is so rewarding isn't it? Besides how else are we going to get to the new plants first? LOL.
Lady Fi, Fatigued Fridays does sound like fun doesn't it.
Tessa, I hate to be bored, and January was definitely a make work month. We are loving this great weather, and busyness.

ReplyDeleteI made a mad dash to the library this morning for the last round of books before I head to work - March 1st! I am so looking forward to it as this has been a very long winter for many of us! Love the gorgeous blooms.... warms the heart and gets the blood coursing through the veins. Perhaps we should do a weekly nursery post once we are in the throes of business. It would be an interesting pipeline across the country!
Glad to hear you a bit more refreshed this afternoon! These are such pretty flowers today. We love seeing your wonderful talent of photography even if you are too tired to write; hope you feel stronger soon!
ReplyDeleteSpring work is never done! Sometimes the sorting can be a pain in the neck. I think it is the added activity that makes you tired, it is hard work, moving stuff around! It is a process to work toward spring, one step at a time..and it must be a welcome relief for you to be one step closer to SPRING! Loved the photos today..very pretty! Fatigued Fridays worked for me, I think everyone feels that way most Fridays:)
ReplyDeleteI continue to be amazed with your photos....each one is so unique and beautiful. And the colours!!! I always love your words that accompany them so I'm glad you are feeling refreshed today! :)
ReplyDeleteI hear you about fatigued Friday...I just got home a little over an hour ago after a 2 1/2 hour drive through more snow, so I be fatigued. So I relax by reading a few blogs....
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing! I hope you have a tub that you can soak in, or at least a small tub of hot water to soak your tootsies.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cindy
I miss working in the nursery, but not the sore back and feet from mid february to the middle of June. The library is much easier on my middle aged body. I sound like everyone else, but those photos are beautiful.
