Something new for Muddy Boot Dreams

Yes, I am always searching for new and interesting ideas [excuses not to get down to work] that might be interesting for Muddy Boot Dreams blog. You read my blog, you look at my photos, and you leave the nicest comments for me to enjoy. So as a thank you, I thought I would start a new Friday post called "The Muddy Booters". I am going to pick a random commenter and feature their blog on Fridays. Every month one of the featured blogs will win a pack of Muddy Boot Dreams greeting cards. "The Muddy Booters" starts this Friday, check and see if it is your blog.
You might also notice something new on the bottom of my posts. I found a "widget", actually I saw it first on Teza's blog, and thought about it for quite awhile. It is not the "gardenroundtoit" widget that I am still looking for, but I like the idea. It is a linkwithin widget. A really interesting widget, it doesn't dust, it doesn't do windows, and it definitely does not transplant. What it does is link within my blog to other similar posts that I have written. Newer readers might find a older post that you have not come across before. If you have been following Muddy Boot Dreams for longer, then maybe something that you missed before will come up. I think that it is pretty cool. Even if it doesn't dust.

  1. Here I was thinking this widget would do windows, guess not, but it does do a good job of showing past posts.

  4. I just got that widget, too. Love it! And I adore your snail tea cup print!!! And I freely admit I've been whining about spring not coming... a lot ... but today the sun is shining (at the moment) and the birds are singing (even though it's colder than a witch's, well, you know)so I'm going to be happy. ;)

  9. Jen, What a great idea- I was just telling my DH the other day about your cards and such. The widget is great, but I found it to slow my blog a little, so I restricted it to only show on post pages- I do love it though! Happy almost spring to you!

  14. Oooh.. I want to be a Muddy Booter!! Or a Buddy Mooter!... great idea!

BTW, I was wondering if you have any cards with those wind chimes on (the ones that I loved and commented on a while back..) How's that for being fuzzy and non-specific? And are they in the sale?

  20. Jen:
Thanks for the link.... the widget was for the specific reason that I didn't want to have a long list of Archived post titles taking up space... and it does link up rather nicely with older posts.
You are most generous with your 'Muddy Booter'prize, and this is a great way to attract more comments!
