Don't you wish

There are a few blog posts that I have read lately, that make me really wish I could remember who wrote them. When you read over 80 blogs, things get a little confusing. Don't you wish there was just a box that you could type in __________, or __________. Up would come the correct post. If there is, and I don't know about it, someone please let me know. But so far, my faulty memory is all I have. See, I love links, I love to read the comments that other bloggers make, and if they sound interesting to me, then I click on them. Best way to discover new and interesting bloggers that I can then add to my google reader. But sometimes there is such a labyrinth of clicking that I get lost in blogger land. So if anyone has read the posts from the blogger [sorry I can't remember who you were] that wrote about the amazing 5 minute a day Artisan bread recipe a few weeks ago, that she got from Mother Earth News, please remind me who she is. I would love to thank her for putting me onto such a "amazing and simple to make wonderful tastes like I took weeks to ferment my own" sourdough bread. I baked it every night when the biker guys were here, they devoured it. And my nephew is one picky dude. Wonderful I tell you, wonderful.
And who was it that wrote about their adventures, and I mean "ADVENTURES" in cold waxing their ah.... bikini parts. Hilarious, and if I could find your post again, girl, I would send it to all my friends, as a warning! I hope that you have managed to unstick yourself from the bottom of the bathtub by now? So if there is a button out there that can find these posts, or if you have read them, please let me know. After all blogging is a small, small world. Some one's friend must have mentioned encountered a few, let's just call them "difficulties" with cold waxing.

  1. I would love a "magic" button too. I hope to get to read the funny wax story - maybe someone will share the link.
I hope you have a great weekend.

  4. So true! Actually, that is exactly how I found your blog last week... playing the link game. You are a "keeper".

  5. Jen, simply love the photo with the hydrangea and bird cage. Sour dough bread sounds so good. Have not had any for years. A magic button would be nice. I hate that I cannot check on everyone everyday.

  6. Jen, My memory fails me and I didn't save it. I use the Feedly reader, which works in conjunction with Google Reader. I can annotate any post I read within, send with a note, recommend etc. All the posts I leave an annotation can be pulled up to view. Really handy!

  8. I know exactly what you mean. I went scouring through a few blogger archives just the other day, looking for articles I wanted to re-read. I wonder if you googled the subject and put blog at the end, what might come up...

Give this one a try to see if it is the one you were looking for.
I often check the referring page people have used to access my site and sometimes it is just a simple search they did such as "prime rib cooked at 300 degrees" that takes them to my recipe. I just searched for "funny waxing story blog stuck to bathtub" and found the one above. Even if it isn't the one it sure is funny.

  10. I definitely aggree with you on this post! I often want to mention that I got an idea from another blogger, but can't remember exactly who it was. And aren't all of us roaming around the blog world in a rush, trying to devour as many posts as possible while keeping up with the 'real' world? Well, maybe not some of the retired readers, just the rest of us with day jobs.

  11. Doesn't it show up in your history? Just a thought. I know my history lists are huge but unusual names usually clue me into the sites, pages, posts that I have been randomly visiting

Glad to hear you like that recipe.. I read about it in ME News before Christmas..and thought hey I could do that..I even added a baking stone to my Christmas list..and low and behold Far Guy bought me one.. I even got the cornmeal to dust on the stone before baking the bread..but alas..I have not tried it yet..but when I do I will definately blog about it.
Sometimes I get lost in bloggy land too..fun isn't it! :)

  13. Hi Jen! I am so glad I just popped into your blog, it was my blog that you read about the Artisan Bread recipe, its wonderful isnt it?? I am so glad you enjoyed it, and if you haven't already, I highly suggest getting the book, because it has TONS of wonderful recipes! Here is the link to my post if anyone else is interested: http://dowhatyoulove.wordpress.com/2009/03/20/artisan-bread/

I did not happen to read about the cold waxing though, although it would be great to read, sounds very funny!

  14. Just hit ctrl+f and type in what you're looking for. It only picks up results from the page you're currently browsing however. That's still the best find function out unfortunately.

  15. It would be a great button!
