These are photos from May, remember May? Warm temperatures, mid spring, lots of promise?
These are from Floweriscous's garden, and the dark purple Columbine is called Nora Barlow.
I bought one this spring, and I am still waiting for it to produce some flowers, maybe? Maybe not?
Maybe I need to wait until next May?
Who knows, but in the meanwhile, I can enjoy these photos from my archives.
Ooo! Love that Columbine! Very rich color. Mine bloom in spring, pretty early, so I think waiting until next may just might be the ticket! I wonder if there are some that bloom in summer?
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, The Nora Barlow columbines are so pretty in the photo. Here in GA I don't have very good luck with them. Hope you are enjoying the weekend. Thanks for the beautiful purple pictures today.
ReplyDeleteHelllloooo Jen !
ReplyDeleteSpring is such a hopeful time in the garden isn't it ? .. every thing is fresh and exciting .. I already have ordered Spring bulbs a few weeks ago and Purple Sensation allium is among the pick .. I hope it looks as good as it does in the pictures ! : )
Enjoy your warm, sunny Sunday Jen. Can you hear my sprinklers going?
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers. I'm sending you some sun from Sweden!
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could have some of those dame blooms growing so well in my yard. I miss May too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Columbine, I love all the water droplets! You might have to wait til next May..I am not certain if their blooms are day length or temperature sensitive. But hey, it will be worth it when ever they bloom! :)
