There is the cutest little cottage garden just down the road from me. I love to walk by and see what is blooming every week. The sage colored cottage, with deep magenta purple accents is very attractive.
The hollyhocks are high, the poppys are lush, and the bouquets are for sale. And the best part, the owner said to drop by anytime to photograph the flowers.
Those pictures are just too cute Jen .. I love cottage touches such as that .. you can imagine "wee folk" living there and tending to the garden ? ;-) I may just have to paint my bench that exact colour .. it looks wonderful !
Good Morning Jen, How beautiful that must be. What a treat to get to look at, smell and photograph the cottage flower beds. Makes me feel better just seeing the photos!
Hi Jen, thanks for the help in identifying the flower in my garden and for visiting my little space on the web!! Love this fence..what a great keepsake for the kids whose handprints are on there..Hope you have a great weekend!!
i believe i did leave a comment here already but here goes again. i love the cottage look...it seems so welcoming. i might be tempted to go visit that neighbour quite often and get some fresh flowers.
You inspired me, Jen. I printed the picture of the bird house planter and showed it to my husband and neighbor. My neighbor built me some bird houses, my hubby built me a picket fence planter, and we finally finished putting it together today, 5 Jul '10. Thanks for the inspirations. xoxox ~a

I like that sage bench so much. It's so soothing. I would love that place too and she's so gracious. She has a true gardeners heart huh?
