And this is what she told me.....

The oddest part of being an adult sister is how the sibling hierarchy has blurred. I like being the oldest, yet sometimes I feel much younger than my Sister, Turf Toter. That doesn't mean that I don't take her advice when she gives it. I am sure that she only tolerates my advice because it is something that I have always freely given. Besides, being the older sister should have some perks. So, that beautiful golden evening when we were walking through the Armstrong Fair, and she mentioned my blog, I listened. And this is what she told me. She told me not to put so many photos of flowers on my blog. People, she told me want to see more than just flowers. So dear sister........here are some new photography subjects just for you. Not a flower in sight. See I do take your advice!

  2. These are beautiful photos -- so serene and home-spun. Honestly though, I couldn't ever tire of your flower photos. Not possible.

  3. What is she talking about...I clearly see a kitty in the last post. I bet she doesn't even read your blog.
Sisters, hmmmfff, what do they know.
    Oh she DOES read it.
    Never mind.

  4. Gosh, Jen, I don't think our relatives are the best judge of what we should put on our blogs or do with our art. Seriously! I love all your photos, whether they are flowers, cats next to ponds, or just a macro shot of grass with a dew-dipped blade showing. Keep it up - mix it up - shake it up - but don't stop.

  5. I love these pictures - you are the second blogger I've visited that got to visit the county fair! Makes me hungry for a caramel apple! Have a nice weekend.

  6. I wrote this post just to tease my Sister, she does give good advice, and I do value it.

It is a good thing to shake stuff up once awhile. So look for a little bit more variety, at least I hope so.

  10. Well, I love the flowers best. I could see nothing but flowers and be happy, but not everyone is as gardening-obsessed as I am!

  13. I love all your photos, regardless of the subject matter. You have an amazing eye and a gift for capturing a feeling and a moment. These are all wonderful, although I think my favourite is the last one with all the sweet chicks warming under the light. Tricky photo to capture, no doubt.

  15. I have 3 brothers and they don't even know what a blog is. I would enjoy some teasing like your sister is doing. I hope she doesn't suggest you need more nudity on your blog ;)

Oh my!!! I've been away so I've just gotten a glimpse of these comments. Just to put the record straight - I love my sisters flower photo's, and think that they are some of the best that I have seen on any blog! But I did notice at times there are more comments from bloggers when there is a mix of content. By the way, I visit muddy boot dreams just so that I can see if she is talking about me, and I like to see pictures of my farm - because, of course, it's all about me!
