Is this chair taken?

Whats your morning routine like? Do you read the newspaper while you eat your cereal, sitting in your favorite chair at the kitchen table. I used to sit in my favorite chair, and read the newspaper in the morning. Now however, I have to sit on the other side of the table, where the light is not so favorable for reading, and the cushion is not so comfy. Bootsie has decided that he likes to sleep on my favorite chair at the kitchen table. When he does move, it is only to jump into the computer chair as soon as I vacate it. We will also find him curled up in a cosy nest on the messed up covers before we make the bed. If we dare to relocate him, we are rewarded with a baleful glare, you haven't lived until a cat glares at you. Trust me! Contempt, disgust, and disarray, all put together in a black and white fur coat. From the cat that is now sleeping in your favorite chair. At least until he decides to choose another favorite chair. Then that one will become his also.

  1. Cats are so funny Jen! Every day after breakfast I go to my recliner to check emails. Nine out of ten times, Kaboodle is curled up in my recliner and double dares me to move her!!! We are being drenched with rain today - looks like a good day for catnapping. Hope you have a restful weekend.

  3. Those photos are priceless. That first one made me want to crawl back in bed. I think Bootsie and Freckles (our cat) are related. They seem cut out of the same mold!

  4. If I want it then it is mine. If I touched it then it is mine. If I looked at it then it is mine. If I walked past it then it is mine. If I don't want it then it is still mine. Get off it.

  5. Cats are peculiar creatures for sure!! Ours has her own bathroom, yes, you read that right. We have 4 and half bathrooms and the half is hers. She has stuffed animals and a towel in the sink where she sleeps at night. You can here her arranging the sink just the way she likes it!

  6. I actually have a sign that says if you want the best seat in the house, move the cat! Looks like your cat is living up to that sign!! ;-)

  9. Delightful and am really wishing I had a cat or dog. I'm allergic to cats and hate that cause I am a pet person. Maybe I'll get dog. I need something to cuddle besides my favorite blanket.

  10. The comments were almost as good a read as the post! My 18 year old Fred, who has lost lots of weight and fur, and had one ear turn into a cauliflower, chooses the kitchen table. And now that summer is over and the gazebo a tad cool, we have no place to eat!

  12. He is certainly the king of your house, and you don't even own him..but I think that he thinks he owns you..Cat's are funny that way, sometimes they just pick their people:)

  13. Hmmm, Bootsie and Ceefer are definately related! I received a full-on cat glare this morning because I DARED to get up before Ceefer had done sitting on me! :)
