Creativity “Blu ooms”

2010 03 21 043

“You’re starting another blog?” He asked, with more than a little bit of disbelief in his voice.

“You can’t even keep up with the two that you have now.”

I know, but creativity is like a itch, if you don’t scratch it, it goes away, but where is the satisfaction in that?

I have been toying with a idea for quite sometime now. A micro blog, not micro blogging.

A seasonal, or short length blog, that may, or may not continue on.

This one is called Blu oom, a play on Blue, and Bloom.

Both of which there will be lots of in it, lots of blue flowers, and lots of blue “stuff.”

It may only last for a short season, but I need to get it out there. Think of it as a short story, and when the story is finished, the blog remains for people to read. I like that thought.

And I hope that you do also.

Jen

  2. Totally understand, there are so many facets to ourselves and sometimes we want to explore some a little more just to see where they go but want to leave the rest of it as is to come home to. Kind of like having different rooms for different purposes, some we live in all the time, some are just for special occasions, & then sometimes we just want to purge and rearrange the whole thing ;-).

  5. I love that idea, Jen, and the subject matter is terrific. Knowing that there will something *out there* for a long time, without your having to do anything to keep it up is quite appealing. Knowing going in that it is short term is a bonus. Love it, and the blue blooms of the muscari, such an easy plant. :-)

  12. HI Jen, I know that "itch" well. Congrats on your new blog.

Stunning Blu oom by the way.

I'm finding that blog design is almost as addictive as gardening. Who'd a thunk?

  16. Good idea, Jen. Interesting to think of it as a short-term project, when sometimes it seems that a blog is (or becomes) a life commitment.
