Even if you only have even the teeniest bit of creativity in you, spring is your season.
All this renewal, green spaces filling with blooms, bare branches swiftly changing, it’s inspiring.
Spring triggers creativity in us artistic types, it nags, it prompts, it encourages, “do something, change something, create something.
Maybe that’s why many of us are gardeners. We can see a direct correlation between our vision and reality. Plant a seed, grow a plant, watch it bloom. Then draw, or photograph the flower and you have a lasting image of what was only a flitting thought previously.
Photography for me is the ultimate fulfillment of a creative urge, a artistic bent that has molded me for as long as I can remember. I truly feel like my balance is centered when I am creating something.
Inspiration is a thrill, I love how my mind goes through a rabbit warren, twisting and turning creating, inventing, and discarding ideas.
Spring feels like the scale has moved back towards the middle, and my balance is achieved once again.

ReplyDeleteMorning Jen, What a great photo! I love Spring too. I like checking the garden each day to see what's new. I also have more creativity in the house and with preparing meals in the Spring. Hope you have a lovely week. I love your new blog - lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that exactly what creativity is like~~"Spring triggers creativity in us artistic types, it nags, it prompts, it encourages, “do something, change something, create something." It's nearly impossible to not to something! I love your photographic creations Jen...thank you for inspiring me to take better photographs! gail
ReplyDeleteYour photography is breathtaking Jen. I too record on film my garden, prefering the off kilter photos or macro. It tis like peering into a world no others can see.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've been blogging more than taking pictures! lol There's nothing to photograph really with all the snow still around. I wish I could draw...
ReplyDeleteYou're right about Spring making us want to DO things.
Spring means allergy time for me... Otherwise, it is so delightful with birdsong and warmth! It's not here yet.. but soon.. I hope.. soon!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo as usual. As are your blue blooms on your other blog.
Hi Jen, You have really nice photo there and you're right, Spring is the time to make something and make it good to last. I hope to see more of your posts.
ReplyDeleteI like the title of your post "finding balance..." it is sometimes difficult to do! Your photo is great- I like the photoshop effect. I do photography too, but have not learned much about photoshop yet! I Enjoy stopping in on your blog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! And I so agree with you about Spring. I'm just learning about photography but have found it to be a great means of expression. I don't have my good camera with me this wee, and feel lost without it.
ReplyDeleteAfter starting to blog, I realized my fascination with photography. Never would have thought that. But it is a joy now, for it is one of my favorite hobbies.

aloha,
ReplyDeletei do feel more creative during this timeframe and to go out and explore and see things differently and document it via pictures and re-interpreted through a blog or other medium...there's something to be said about thinking out of the box and looking to inspiration to nature and all around us, including in the virtual world...thanks for sharing
Your photograph is certainly very artistic ... I like how you remind us that it is spring that regenerates our creative urges! I love your work... this image is just stunning and so perfectly illustrates your point of balance.
ReplyDeletei know exactly what you mean...i think that is why winter gets to me. i lack inspiration. but it is abounding now and i feel that same balance...like myself again.
ReplyDeletehappy springtime.
Like you, I also feel balance when I'm creating something, be it a garden, a mosaic, a painting. There is an energy in all the bursting new growth of spring that transfers to me and makes me want to create something new. You have, as usual, put it all very well.
ReplyDeleteJen, it's a lovely photo. I'm glad you've achieved your balance again now spring is here. I feel lighter without all the darkness and snow closing in on me.
ReplyDeleteCharming photo! Love that balance tilting back :-)
ReplyDeleteMy camera and gardening give me balance as well. Which is good. Sometime we need balance while trying to take that macro shot while not stepping on the other plants ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
Lovely photo! And very inspirational!
ReplyDeleteyes! spring is the season for creativity!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely way of putting things, Jen. I think we all have stretches when our creativity is at a bit of an ebb; but then it comes back with vigour, especially if we don't fret about it.
ReplyDeleteI feel more in balance when I can get outside for even an hour a day and putter around the yard.
When my father was dying of Alzheimer's 5 years ago, the gardens really helped me hold it all together for my mother & sister. And myself.
I also feel most creative in the spring..I like your nest..:)
