He’s gorgeous, so sleek, and shiny, and although he is getting a little on the chunky side, that’s OK, it’s just winter weight. Right?
Every time I see him come through my garden gate, my heart does a little dip, kind of like it does when I see Gar.
Bootsie has my heart, and when he plays peek-a-boo gardening with me, he steals my heart all over again.
He loves it when we are working on our deck, with the patio doors open. He can come and go as he pleases. Tearing through the garden outside of the deck, playing in the rustling leaves. Batting at the rain puddles, stalking but never getting near the birds.
Doing his, “now you see me, now you don’t” routine.
“Peek – boo.”
Bootsie I love you!
Jen
Jen my kitty, Alvin used to do this. He actually had a sense of humour.
ReplyDeleteHe would stalk me in the garden, ever so stealthily sneaking up on me and then he would pounce at me and run away only to reposition himself for the next "attack".
I usually sit right on the ground to garden and he would make it impossible to get anything done by climbing all over me.
We had him for 18 years and he is now buried in my garden and I can feel him with me when I am out there.
When a kitty grabs your heart there is no letting go.
My daughter has a cat who might be Bootsie's twin, and his name is Boots!
ReplyDeleteHow Sweet Jen! I can see why you love him... he is so thoughtful to stay away from the birds! Beautiful photos with the bleeding heart... I gather this plant has more importance than just the visual in this post. ;>)
ReplyDeleteHe's a handsome guy -- no doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteI must get a garden cat!
ReplyDeleteHe is a handsome dude. Wish my cats played peek-a-boo instead of getting in my face when I'm trying to photograph things in the gardens.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cat! Our cat disappeared one evening. I think a wild animal got her.
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie! There is nothing like our pets - they are like our children.
ReplyDeleteMy kitty always ran around the garden when ever I was out there. She would hide near buy in the daylily and iris foliage. I miss her company out there!
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute! I love the bleeding heart he's hiding behind. I feel the same way about our little dog. It just seems right to have a pet around while working in the garden.
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love visiting other kitties on blogs! Bootsie is such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteThe vet my mom takes her cats to always says, "He's not fat, he's pleasantly plump!"
ReplyDeleteAnimals always touch our hearts. Our furry friends brighten the room wherever they go. But in my case with Jasper the naughty kitty, plants cringe when they see him coming. LOL
It's impossible not to fall for those fur clad beauties, isn't it? I tell Celine all the time, that I fell in love with her the moment I saw her photo on the SPCA website.
ReplyDeleteLove your balcony garden. It looks really lovely and cozy with all brickwork and wrought iron gate.
He's just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteI love Bootsie's white mustache and whiskers. He reminds me of a wonderful cat we had while I was a kid. I am considering getting an indoor/outdoor cat to help with garden pests such as voles. Though like you, I fear that I will always be worrying about his safety.
The bleeding heart is just beautiful.
I love to read about Bootsie and you in your garden. Soon it will be nice enough for Callie and Lucy to go out on our deck too.
ReplyDeleteHave a thoughtful Thursday ~Natalie
