Life’s a whirlwind right now.

June

A very quick post to say that I am sorry for not visiting everyone lately.  Life’s a whirlwind, stressful, and busy.  Whoops, I am not a “stressful” kind of person, I don’t subscribe to that theory.

OK, it’s just been a really busy week, and it’s not done yet.

My elderly neighbor has just returned from a hospital stay, and we are all pitching in to help her out, there are some amazing people in this group. But it takes time, and effort, so I have been neglecting you for a very good reason.  And I have the coolest stories to share with you in a few days.

Here to keep you happy are some of the calendar shots from my Mom, and Dad’s Christmas gift from last year.  June, July, and August.  Yes, Christmas is coming, I need to organize all of my shots for Muddy Boot Dreams greeting cards.  Get them printed, and out to the stores soon.

July

Can I say, I absolutely dread working another “retail” Christmas, [that is separate from my card business], I really am dragging my heals on this one, but I know it’s coming.  Ah, the canned music, the business, the hours..sigh.

Right, who but me would be worrying about that so soon, but it’s true.  Maybe this will be my last, and our Muddy Boot Dreams will finally come true in the spring. Keep your fingers crossed, if it does, you will be one of the first to know.  I can’t wait!!!!

August

So when things calm down, I plan on getting out there, and finding some pine cones, and some snow, anyone know where to find snow this time of year?  LOL.

Since we never got any last year, it was hard to get seasonal shots, life is what you make it, and no show snow, well that’s life.

Here’s to a great long weekend.

Jen

  1. Hi Jen, I understand that some weeks are very busy, and they sometimes are at our house too. This must be a busy time of year for you as you create cards and get them in the stores for Christmas. I post once a week on my other blog with tips for celebrating Christmas. Yep, its good to plan ahead :) http://scrapbookofchristmasfirsts.blogspot.com

  2. I've been dreading another retail Christmas season, too. *sigh*

I don't know how you and all the other entrepreneural types find the time to polish up your photos and create fantastic things to sell on a regular basis. I can barely get myself out of bed and brush my teeth every day.

Your neighbour is very blessed to have the help of so many caring people in her life.

P.S. I'm rootin' for your Dream to come true. So I can come visit. I'm selfish, I know.

    Blessings,
    Carolynn

  3. Yes, life can be very busy at times. A peep into the garden should ease out the stress....... and to look at the beautiful sunflower, and wonder about the natural patterns and arrangements, there will be peace.... ~bangchik

  7. Gosh Jen... So this is why I can never get it together to do calendars and cards for my friends and family. I never think of it soon enough! ;>)) It is great your neighbor has such caring friends and I know from doing the same thing for aging neighbors and friends, it does take a good deal of time to be supportive. It is what we are made for. Look forward to your stories.

  8. Good Morning, Jen,
Your elderly neighbor is lucky to have you next door. I'm sure your help is much appreciated.

No snow last year? Well...if that happens this year, I have 3 extra bedrooms...We had record setting snowfalls last winter. And it is indeed beautiful!

Have a relaxing Sunday. Take care ~Natalie

  10. Thank you for the support. Oh, I am so hoping that our Muddy Boot Dreams come true soon. We are hanging on, trying to get through this summer, maybe! Just maybe! Can't wait.

My neighbor is back in the hospital again, sad, but so much better for her pain. We are looking after the cats, they are adorable. I will have some shots of them later maybe.

  11. You want snow? Go to the ice rinks. The Zamboni dumps it out back of the rinks.
You know I have been right where you are in the "festive retail season" and I am sure it is worse now than it was back in my day.
    Good luck with your plans.

  14. Hi Jen. My daughter and I were just talking as we shopped last week and grabbed a gift for Christmas already. I hated holidays in retail. People get rudder as they search for presents LOL!I hope your dream comes true and you can quit the hassle.
It is wonderful that you are able to help your neighbor during her convalescence.
