How to decorate when you have a cat.

2010 07 26_1027

There are many books, blogs, and post out there explaining how to decorate when you have kids.  But not that many explaining exactly what your cat requires in order to be comfortable in your home.

Bootsie has decided to remedy that problem, and do a cat decorating post of his own.

Always have a comfortable spot available for the cat.  The main chair is perfect.  If it is not available, then you should be having a spot nearest the clicker, and the TV.  Cosy, and warm is best.

Or if that is not available, the cat should have the couch, after all, he is the cat.  You can find a spot somewhere else in your limited seating arrangements.

Next time Bootsie will tackle that age old problem, which side of the bed goes to whom, his answer, it’s his choice, not yours.

  1. Jen..
everyone seems to be on the Cats this morning..
Knowing I have 3 furbabies..You also know I am triple outnumbered..
my sleeping position is relegated to: Ballou on my pillow above my head..Bubba claims next to me lengthwise on the outside..and tiny BeBe claims the spot closest to my heart and under my chin..
Waking up to kitty kisses every morning is a delight..racing to the kitchen as they are telling me it's time to EAT..
decorating with cats? one doesn't! They do it themselves..!
    warm sandy hugs..

  2. You are right about that. The cat lets US live in it's house.

  9. Bootsie does look comfy there. I remember having cats and for some reason I would move around them while they were sleeping on my bed at night, so as not to disturb them :)

  10. Adorable. I love Bootsie in the basket! It appears he is well behaved for your chair is free of clawed... shredded legs. I love your photos!

  11. That last shot says a thousand words. At least. What a spoiled fellow. *grin* I love his little basket bed. It looks so cozy and warm.

I think Celine is suffering from this heat a little, poor thing. She's wearing a fur coat and it's been quite stuffy in our little apartment. We have the fans going for her to help keep her cooler.
