I was at my local big box store the other day hunting for something hardwarish that I needed, and ran across these gorgeous eggplant/aubergine color or if you choose purple watering cans.
I had been eyeing them all spring, but at $19.99 they were way out of my league. Watering can collector that I am or not. Great news, they were clearing them out at half price, who could complain?
It was purple, I had to buy it
So somehow it made it’s way into my car, and we happily drove around all day running errands together. And now, it sits on my deck, waiting to look useful.
Ain’t life grand?

I love it! I still do not own one single watering can, can you believe that?
ReplyDeleteSo grand!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful color! Funny how something new like that lifts your spirits. Way to go at half price too!
ReplyDeleteGreat deal 1/2 price! Good for you - it's beautiful... have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful watering can and it looks especially nice paired with the greens in your photos.
ReplyDeleteThe color...and form are a joy to the beholder! It would look lovely with some Fall foliage! I love it....but then again....I LIVE in a purple house! heeheehee! ♥
ReplyDeleteI'd buy it too, love the colour!
ReplyDeleteAh, good sales come to those who wait. And are those your tomatoes? How come mine don't look like that?
ReplyDeleteI give it a 10. It's pure purple perfection.

Funny that a box store would sell watering cans. *grin*
ReplyDeleteI love it! Did it come in other colours too? Which store was it?
Of course you did~and there's no need to explain to any of us who adore purple! Purple rocks! I am planning on painting some classic concrete columns I bought in the 80s the same purple as my fence/chairs. That will bring them into this century! I went back and had another look~ the watering can rocks! gail
ReplyDeleteWhat a bargain - and it's so lovely. The purple is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe color is wonderful:

It's such a pretty color. I need to get out and see if there are any good deals for the garden around here.
ReplyDeleteThat is irresistibly, cute Jen! I would have taken it home, too.
ReplyDeleteI loved your comments on my blog about the seagulls...I know how loud they can be in White Rock, which is why these quiet fellows surprised me! Perhaps there's something in the Steveston water that could be moved to WR to quieten down the noise a little...:)
Thanks for stopping by...
Lynette

ReplyDeleteI love watering cans...and I love purple

Yes indeed, Jen, very cool! Have never seen a purple one before ... you lucked out, girl ... and what a great photo!
ReplyDeleteAubergine, indeed, and I would have bought one to! Great find!
ReplyDeleteWhere, where and where? Maybe we have that store here.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
For anyone interested in the watering cans that were on sale, I got it at a Canadian Home Depot.
ReplyDeleteThey probably have them in the US also.
Let us know if you find one.
Jen
I saw a bowl at Target today in just that deep eggplant purple color. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI do sooo love purple...and watering cans! Ohhh and sales rock too!
ReplyDeleteGreat find, Kim
It's a pretty sweet life! I love that colour! Purple is my favorite, but eggplant purple?! Thats enough to have it follow me home the first time!
ReplyDeleteJen girl I wish I had been there for that water can too ! would that mean we would have a tugging match if only one was left and we both grabbed it?
ReplyDeleteCOOL COOL COOL can ! and on sale ? how good can it get girl ! congratulations : )
Joy
I have to check HD now too !!
Sadly my watering can is not so shiny or pretty coloured but I do have a Canadian Tire nearby! Although I'm sure my spouse would argue that I have many more containers in this house than is really necessary.
ReplyDeleteI've heard those same words all my daughter's life... "it was purple I had to buy it".
ReplyDeleteIt is adorable, too.
