Dear Mother Nature,
No, we are not whining or anything, we just want to bring this to your attention.
Since we feel there are many errors in the amount, and frequency of snow that you have so... ahem, graciously dumped on us lately.
I mean 3 times before winter even started? And we do realize that winter here now, but more snow?
Again? And where was it at Christmas?
Not to mention what all of our Blogger friends are suffering through in other parts of the world. Record snowfalls, overloaded airline systems?
So Mother Nature, please check and see if there is a glitch somewhere, a switch to turn off. A note to drop into a mailbox to correct this situation.
After all, if we don’t say something, who will.
Sincerely,
Jen @ Muddy Boot Dreams
.
I have already sent a memo out. She's pretty good at ignoring me!
ReplyDeleteFunny how lovely snow looks when it's rare but not when you're getting it all the time.
ReplyDeleteNice post! I hope mother nature hears you.
ReplyDeleteFor me snow will not come until late winter probably.
I hope you had a very merry Christmas! And that you have the best happy new year!
Dear Jen, The glitch is global warming, climate change. And the switch is the one you and I click - on the laptop, the light ... But it is frightening to see what weather there is this Christmas. Frightening enough to make people greener? For us in South Africa it is drought. Just as alarming, but in a different way.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you got any snow up there. It seems pretty hit and miss around us. The girls had so much fun in it and since it happened on vacation I don't mind too much. I'm really glad that we aren't getting it like the east coast!
ReplyDeleteThe birdhouse is so pretty and looks great against the snow.
hehe...it DOES seem to be going a little crazy- doesn't it:)?
ReplyDeleteDoes make for some beautiful photos though!!!
Methinks Mother Nature is just getting started, Jen. She's been neglected and abused and exploited for too long. Unfortunately, I think the strange weather patterns are the tip of the melting iceberg.
ReplyDeleteDear Jen, We here in Minnesota support global warming because anything above 0 degrees F is welcome. We are settling in for a two day storm..maybe three...ice first then snow then wind and below zero..just another winter in Minnesota:)
ReplyDeleteLove it, Jen! I loled out loud, especially the indignant expression on Mr. kitty's face! Hope you and the family had a great Christmas, and here's to a great 2011--with less snow, please and thanks.
ReplyDeleteAmen. I have been wondering what has been going on. Watching the news I keep seeing feet of snow in places that never get this kind of weather. Here, it is second nature and we only have a couple of inches.
ReplyDeleteYour plea to Mother Nature is quite cute. Hope it works and she puts the record snow falls back where they belong.
I will sign up to that!!!
ReplyDelete- 19 degrees and soooooooo mush snow!
Please no more!
And... also.... Jen...
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR to you!!!
Good Morning, Jen,
ReplyDeleteNo kidding...we are currently experiencing freezing rain...a winter storm this afternoon...and now talk of upgrading this to an actual blizzard for tomorrow. I'm thinking I'd better get to the grocery store, cause we may staying in for days!
Stay safe and warm...Have a thoughtful Thursday ~Natalie
Gorgeous shots! I do enjoy the snow though, even if it's up to my butt at the moment... ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, and Dear Mother Nature - at 10,000 feet above sea level in the Colorado mountains, we have so little snow that I am starting to worry. Could you please rearrange a little of it it our way? :)
ReplyDeleteJen ~ I received my package from CSN yesterday! When I figure out something pretty to put inside it, I'll post a pic! :) Thanks again ~ it's lovely!
Stay warm,
~ Zuzu
It's been clear & dry in my neck of the woods. No snow. It's COLD out there though!!
ReplyDeleteOver here in Australia we're experiencing record flooding. Whole towns being evacuated (which has never happened before)- yes, Mother Nature is trying to say something.
ReplyDeleteYou have an awesome sense of humor, and apparently, so does Mother Nature.
ReplyDeleteWe had rain all day on top of our couple feet of snow which is down to about 5 inches. Want some?
