Gloomy days, and a ray of sunshine

Bare trees textured

Deep within the icy reaches of winter, with these dark gloomy days, and bare branches, that might tempt us to be sad.  This quote seems to sum that up beautifully.

I am so looking forward to the time when we may pick the fruit.

To the extra light of spring, the greening of the bare earth.

To seeing weeds sprout, yes weeds, for they mean spring is truly on it’s way.

And a ray of sunshine.

CSN is offering to sponsor another giveaway on my blog.

Look for details in the next few days.

  1. The winter has its own special beauty and I enjoy it. Although I would love to see some more sunlight! (says she a little desperately...)

  2. Jen, we have so much rain in the PNW, but a glimmer of hope is often offered at about 3 to 4 pm when, for whatever reason, the clouds seem to part, and we have some wonderful moments of sunshine into the evening. Hope your day is sunny.

  3. Love the quote.. I hadn't thought about it, but I am looking forward to spring so much that I will welcome the weeds as a sign of what's to come!

  4. The photo is just perfect with those words - or is it the other way around?
