That's a meaningful quotation for today- the snow has stopped falling, the brightness of the sky suggests we may see the sun for the first time in days and I just got 3 suggestions of hydrangeas that will survive in northern Alberta..."Hope Springs Eternal!"
Wonderful quote! It reminds me of another old saying that if you have two pennies, use one to buy bread, use the other to buy hyacinths for the soul. Your photo bouquet is also perfect.
What a lovely thought. Just yesterday I bought some beautiful scented flowers on my way home from a stressful morning shopping and it cheered us all up. Garden Girl kissed the flowers and said 'Thank you for the beautiful flowers.' She carried them the whole way home, breathing in the scent and gently stroking the petals. Such a simple thing, giving so much pleasure.
Love this! So true!

ReplyDeleteWonderful quote. Finally had a sunny day today, it made such a difference, though I am now totally exhausted from "making the best of it".
ReplyDeleteLovely image- the tattered border is just perfect- thanks for a bit of spring color!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo. I like that quote, it's a good daily reminder - 'just living is not enough'
