So I was thinking of doing something a little different for this post. I wanted to kind of change it up a little but not to much.
Then I had this idea that I would take a photo from this day, and go back in my archives and take photos from May 4th for every year that I had images of.
Well that worked fine, until I hit the wrong button and deleted them all by accident. And then I ran out of energy to do it all over again.
After which I got distracted, and started to look at images of Bootsie. I thought that I could show that at one time he was skinny, and could fit through the slot in the partially opened patio door. Not like now, when we will soon have to increase once again the amount the slider is open to accommodate his ever growing girth.
And then I got to reminiscing that he wasn’t always demanding food, but no that was another cat, and another life. He has always been a demanding cat.
At this point I heard a Fleetwood Mac song being sung on the TV in the other room on Glee tonight, it was beautiful. And then I got distracted and started watching the setting sun, and listening to the seagulls through the open window.
And remembered that I was tired, because now the seagulls wake Boo up at 4 am, and an awake Boo, wakes us up.
4 am, a really good time to be awake.
Well maybe if you are a cat, or a seagull.
Anyways there was a point to this post, I just can’t remember it. Maybe because I am too tired.
And distracted, or maybe it’s because I lost all of the shots I was going to use for this post.
And then I started to remember last spring, when Bootsie decided to wake us up at 2:00 am every single morning for months demanding to be let out. The entire spring, and summer into the fall.
So I guess that I shouldn’t be tired, after all, I now get to sleep in until 4 am.

I think we will revoke your driver's license for a while and be careful walking.
ReplyDeleteI used to be skinny too but that was then and this now.
You are funny Jen.
ReplyDeleteJen, Good morning! Love the stream of consciousness and the blooms. gail
ReplyDeleteLuna had a cold for a couple of weeks recently. She slept through the night, didn't run around like a banshee at 5am and was a real cuddle muffin. If this morning is any indication, she's over her cold. :o/
ReplyDeleteIs it bad to wish a cold on your cat....? *smile*
Glad to hear that Bootsie is getting weaned from the 2 am feedings. LOL! Don't you just hate it when you hit the wrong button? So frustrating. Or in my case I tried two times to do a posting and the electricity decided to blink off. About that time I start talking to myself. LOL! "Save as you go Lona" LOL!
ReplyDeleteAh Lori, so was I, so was I....LOL.
ReplyDeleteDarla, thank you, Gail, is that what they are calling it nowA? I thought it was just my normal whoops what was I doing? stuff.
Carolynn, ah, um, ah, no? Oh I want to be good and say yes, but no???
Oh Lona, LOL, I hear you. Saving is such a good thing.

I do seem to recall those early mornings of yours back then! I am easily distracted, by everything. But losing pics of my photos makes me just plain agitated. Anyway, loved the ones you displayed today!

You make me smile, Jen. And your pics are always heavenly! BTW, we mowed the lawn Saturday. Ya, all that snow was gone by mid afternoon. What a day!
ReplyDeletehi Jen~
ReplyDeletei'm laughing..
not because you lost the pics..
but the thought lines are hilarious..
living with 3 feline furbabies keeps me on my toes..
awakened by their kisses and pats AT THEIR TIME..
and after making sure I am fully awake..
their Olympics completed..
they sleep blissfully undisturbed..
well until they sense a power nap coming on...
thanks for the laughter!!
warmest sandy hugs..

Jen, just wait till you have teenagers and young adults. Some nights I'm more sleep deprived than when I had babies! No wonder your head is in fog with sleep deprivation! Losing sleep will do it to you. Your photo of the roses is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are pretty anyway. Pet parents do go through a lot with their furry ones. We have a dog that gets up every night and two cats who demand to be let out too. We are all well trained. Our pets ought to be proud of us.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you lost your photos! Had to laugh at your story about Boo - he sounds just like children - when it comes to waking up early.
ReplyDelete...whatever you do do not let him ask to be let out this year @ 2 a.m.!!
ReplyDeleteWe so love our pets!...Thanks for a great post & such beautiful pictures!
This post was so much fun! Gotta love the early-rising pets. They need us, after all.
ReplyDeleteI get very grumpy if I'm woken too often in the night, so I'm heartless and shut the door from the kitchen at night so that Ceefer cat can get in/out of the utility room, kitchen and garden but can't get upstairs to us! He's allowed upstairs as much as he wants during the day though ...I'm not that harsh!
ReplyDeleteYour distractions are probably down to 'Age-related Attention Deficit Disorder' ....aka 'Ooh look, a bright shiny thing Syndrome'! I have it too :P
Oh maybe that cat needs some therapy or something..but it is nice of him to let you sleep an extra two hours..of course he sleeps all day whilst you are at work:)
ReplyDeleteYou always make me smile,, and i want to thankyou for the suggestion of the printers.I did have my cards printed back when I sold my work.I also sold originals but a head injury took my sight in my right eye and left my other eye with limited sight.I still paint as you know but not as well as I once did and I no longer sell my work unless really pushed into it.I paint because I love to paint and thats my joy,,thanks again for being so kind,
ReplyDeleteLOL Jen! You sound like I feel right now! I know you just visited my Lavender Hill Studio blog, but I have a home blog too, and I was just saying on that blog (www.thecomfortsofhome.blogspot.com) that I am in the middle of a bunch of projects and I can't seem to find a way out -lol.
