No I haven’t been modeling lately on the catwalk, I am sure that I would tip off, and do a spectacular fall into the audience if I did. Trust me the chances are high that it would happen.
It’s just that we have been encountering so many new cats when we walk, and they always seem friendly, and happy to greet us. We [me] tries to organize our path to make sure that we do encounter one or more if possible each time.
It makes for a nice mini social moment, and a chance to catch my breath. It also makes me wonder if they will come up with a Google map system for both cat lovers, and gardeners. Kind of like the way it works for businesses. Every great garden, or feline could be a little red button on a local map, personalized for each gardener. I am going to have to check that out. What do you think?
When we walk I make sure to mentally mark in my mind the location of really nice gardens that we can see from the street. If a plant is not quite ready to bloom, then it’s sure to be on our route in the next few days. This has resulted in lots of new photos, so it’s a good incentive to go.
I know the location of the special white peonies, and the black kitty with the friendly purr. The orange cat that is the star in one of my best selling cards lives next to the orange azalea…..
There is the giant oak tree with the perfect fall acorns, and the chestnut tree with those russet colored conkers are great for deterring spiders from coming indoors. The blush colored roses that cascade over the black trellis, that look so spectacular in the evening sun at the local Catholic church.
Google, do you have this kind of a map for me?
Jen @ Muddy Boot Dreams
Now for those who have noticed a similarity to the Boo, this is Allie, the next door kitty, not Bootsie.
Love that orange azalea!
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of walk! Bootsie could be Boo's twin, or perhaps her beau. *smile*
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a map like that. I should get out walking more, but there are no really interesting gardens within walking distance of my house. Gardens and plants are what I look at too, when I walk.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, that sounds like a great walking route. That orange azalea is gorgeous. Now, what's this about chestnuts keeping spiders from coming in the house??? Have a great weekend. Pamela
ReplyDeleteOh, what a rare close up of the eyes of a cat. These stunning orbs can likely see you coming for miles. I love knowing the animals along my usual routes when walking. The dog waiting for me to pat him on the head and the cat that compels me to stop so I can hear its purr adds joy to the journey. :)
ReplyDeleteYes me too. Chestnuts? Spiders?
ReplyDeleteHow fun that the orange cat lives near the orange flowers and the black and white cat live by the white flowers! Wouldn't you love to see into the owners homes to see if the color scheme continues?

ReplyDeleteJen I try to arrange my walks with the most potential for looking at gardens too. But there are rarely any kitties to visit with :)
ReplyDeleteThat cat close-up is out of this world, Jen!

ooooh Jen, you sound like my kind of walking buddy! Yes please to that kind of a Google Map ~ you've found some sweet felines there!
ReplyDeleteOoo - gorgeous cat shots! I'd like a Google map like this, but with friendly dogs pinpointed...
ReplyDeleteThe orange cat has such a marbled color of fur. I have not seen that before, but I do love orange cats. So you find all of this on a walk. I think I would name that orange cat, "tamale", and I don't know why. Super macro of the black and white kitty. The eyes are so clear and wow! What a beautiful blog you have. Lovely...
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea! Years ago when I was young I used to deliver newspapers and especially looked forward to each house that had friendly pets who would greet me. Make the walk so much more enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteThat orange azalea is amazing! Love your google garden map idea. Garden touring would be so much fun that way :)
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet kitties. Plants and cats are two of my favorite things. Great post!
ReplyDeleteOnce again we have something in common. Hubby and I consider it a red letter day when we meet a new kitty friend. We are especially pleased if we can meet at least one new kitty friend a day when we are on vacation somewhere. Now I'm thinking I need to add the whole garden aspect to the mix as you have. I'm sure we'd have great fun with that!
ReplyDeleteCindy at Rosehaven Cottage
You could give tours! IF I ever get there I fully expect one! That Orange Azalea is sooo pretty:)
