Day dreaming

Let’s spend some time day dreaming, and not face reality for awhile.

Let’s just take a moment, and let our thoughts drift…..

Are you relaxed?

Good.

Now let me ask, if you could do anything within reason, what would you do?

No obligations, no worries, no fear, what would you do?

What would your dream job be?

Sea feather texture

Mine, I would wander the beaches, and the mountains taking photos.  And they would be published in a magazine every month….imagine all the people who live in the city opening up this magazine and being transported to another world.

Oh, hey I am the person who lives in the city.

Well I can dream…..

Seagull Beach

So spend a moment, daydream, and tell me what you would do.

Can you hear the waves….the sibilant surf?  Can you feel the sand, there’s some in your sandal, shake it out.

Now pick up your camera, make sure to get that shot as the sun goes down.

Can you smell the salt in the air?

Breathe it in, and relax.

Daydreaming.

  2. I would move to the Italian countryside. I would make my living writing a blog about an American in Italy....sounds like a great book and movie doesn't it? Under the Tuscan Sun...my dream.

  3. Oh yes, I'm with you on that one. I'd be roaming the backroads of the countryside, the beaches, the fishing towns and taking pictures all along the way. You and I might be in a friendly competition for the magazine articles. LOL It's good to dream but it's better to try to bring some of it to reality. Enjoy your day. Pamela

  6. I would love to live on a farm out in the country spending the days gardening and raising kids and critters.

    Oh wait...I do that!

As a back up I would love to be an architect and help people turn their dreams for the perfect home into reality! Kim

  7. I have a very clear dream, but I won't share it here. I'm too superstitious. *grin* Suffice it to say, it involves rescue animals, the country, and healing. Amen.

  8. The relaxation just oozed from this post. I think I'm with you on this.....photography. I'd travel the world and stop to take a break here and there to unwind from taking thousands of photos which would need editing. Sip some coffee and continue on my journey. And then there would be a park ranger position available for me every once and awhile:)

  9. Lovely scenes of familiar places, Jen! Sounds like you are living your dream in a slightly different way. Your blog is much like an online magazine and you ARE taking wonderful pictures that can be viewed all over the world. :)

  10. Well, Jen, I go there regularly in my mind and take mini virtual vacations with my British blogger friends: the English country side: Grasmere, Yorkshire, Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters. There is a charming little antique store that I'd love revisit. I bought lace there that I gave my daughter to put on her baby's christening gown. And there is a lovely little shop full of vintage clothing, laces, stuff. Glad you asked. Gave me a moment to daydream.

  11. I guess I would be Penny's neighbour in Italy writing a blog about being a Canadian living in the Italian countryside.
Think of the fun we could have Penny.

  15. There is something about the coastline that inspires the day dreamer in all of us. Wouldn't I love to have a beach cottage for writing about all the ideas that come to me on the tide.
