Lonely, he’s Mr. Lonely…

There’s a 50’s song with that phrase in it isn’t there?

Lonely, I’m Mr. Lonely…since you’ve been gone.

Well Allie, AKA Next Door Kitty, is lonely, and I think that he wants to move in.  Along with a few other cats who are more camera shy.

That’s him sitting outside our garden gate, and then he advances to the patio door.  Which is all fine, except he doesn’t get along with the Boo.

And the Boo is captive inside of the apartment.  Which makes him, lonely, he’s Mr. Lonely…..

  2. Those are beautiful photos. Just stunning. Some cats are very friendly and love the company of others and some not so much. Too bad that they can't be friends. He does look like he would enjoy having a chat with you at the gate, though.

  3. Awe...what a sweety. Now, I aging myself but the song was by Bobby Vinton and it was a song about a lonely soldier, away from home...

  4. The issue with cats, I find, is that they know when they've found a sucker. It's like a beacon saying, cats are welcome here! Once you've got them, more always arrive. This is why my hubby won't let me adopt any more. He says they will continue to arrive on their own anyway and we'll be overrun.

  7. What a great picture of the kitty at the gate! With those big eyes, he kind of looks like he's trying to hypnotize you into opening it.

  9. Darla, Deb, yes he is adorable, and very friendly...to us.

Penny, I realized that after I published, guess I should have done some research first.

Margurite, call me Sucker, I hear you, but somehow I think it is in my nature to be the one that shelters these cats, over the years, there have been quite a few. And I really don't mind, the benefit if mine, I love them.

Pamela, he actually lives next door, and is quite loved.

Roherbot, yes a sucker, me too.

Allison, he doesn't wait, just hops through.

    Suzanne, hopeful and earnest.

  10. This is a perfect photo, and a charming cat, so sad to hear he's a bit lonely.

  11. Beautiful images. Most animals don't get along initially, until they establish a hierarchy. Cats are territorial and this one obviously thinks the grass is greener on Boo's side of the gate.

  15. Aw, that's so sweet! Sounds like he has a home next door, but from the looks of your garden I think he wants to live there! Great shots!
