I wanted to share some shots of part of my patio, along with this pretty little pink dazzling Deutzia.
Got it for a song, a few years ago, and it’s paid me back in beauty ever since. Not the patio, the Deutzia, in fact I think I saved it’s life, the Deutzia that is…LOL. It was languishing in a corner at the garden center where I worked, and I was sure I was the only person watering it.
Well it sure seems happy now.
And that little slice is my patio, the clean part of it at least. You know us gardeners, we always think our gardens looked better the week before you come to visit. Next time I clean it up I will take some more shots.

What a gorgeous plant, I had one but I didn't look after it well enough. I must get another and try again.

It is a beauty Jen. More of your porch, no need to tidy up....we gardener's understand, :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty plant. I'm glad you tended it and now own it! This corner of your patio looks very nice! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteNice patio Jen! I know what you mean about the week before... so true!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a kind gardener. I probably would have watched it die thinking "gee I should really get around to watering that".
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think most bloggers take close ups? So that we see the cleaned areas and not the mayhem that is going on around our chosen subject.
It's a beautiful plant with pretty leaves...and what a delicate flower! Very nice for your pretty garden! ♥
ReplyDeleteI love all the textures I see on your patio, Jen. The brick background, the weave on the furniture, the clay pot and wire container with green leaves and pretty pink flowers surrounding it all. Yes, indeed, saving a plant can bring such joy in return and provide inspiration. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your space - I can see a cup of coffee here every morning and a glass of wine each evening!
ReplyDeleteOf course that's a Deutzia! I knew that! *smile*
ReplyDeleteMy balcony is in a desperate state. Send help!
Thats beautiful Jen. Love the color of the bloom.
ReplyDelete...lol! I hear ya, my place is always its best before a guest too, I should have company over more often, hehe! Love your patio, looks like a wonderful little escape...enjoy! Would love to see more pic's of it too =)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful plant beautiful images!
ReplyDeleteGreetings Monica
It's a lovely little space to dream. And what a sweet flower to have as company. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing beautiful photos of your patio and the Deutzia. Your photography shows both in the best possible light.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely~I never see this one at the garden centers, but, I would scoop it up if I did! gail Fantastic photo!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms! It obviously has appreciated your care.
ReplyDeleteI'm always saying to visitors, "Oh, I wish you had been here last week":)
Good Morning Jen, Such a pretty Deutzia; that's a plant that I have not had. Looks like a sweet retreat there on your patio to browse through some gardening magazines!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so ashamed for anyone to come to my yard, it's a work in progress besides I have a dozen pines and maples trees down from the stroms. Question will Deutzia grown here in Virginia zone 6?
ReplyDeleteNow show us your whole patio. lol
Thanks Lynda
I love a good plant-rescue story! Your Deutzia is gorgeous. It sure looks like it's thanking you for taking an interest in it. And I thank you for sharing such a lovely photo of it! :)
ReplyDeleteYou've introduced me to a new plant that I've never seen before! Cool!!!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one that apologizes for the state of my garden. I don't know why I always think everyone else's homes and gardens are neat as a pin all the time while mine isn't. :-)

They are all gorgeous photos of your patio and Deutzia. (What a fun name to say!) The last image looks like a card, or a magazine cover. My patio never cleaned up that nicely--LOL!
ReplyDeleteA lovely setting to admire the deutzia! It is obviously happy you brought it home and is rewarding you for the care.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, unusual, to me anyway, plant.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of or seen a deutzia before, but it's awfully pretty. Love the 1st pic - just beautiful. Thanks for sharing,
ReplyDeleteSuzanne
Oh wow - such exquisite beauty!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Jen, your patio is beautiful, and lovely shots of it to boot! Can I come over for some tea and sit out there with you?
ReplyDeleteDazzling it is! Love your photography, Jen.
