Catching the light

It’s such a joy to take off from work early, and head out the door into the late afternoon to catch the light with your camera.

And it’s so worth the effort to get out there and see the sun shining low down in the sky. Catching the light as it glimmers through the fading petals, dancing among the leaves, sunlit and golden.

Bouncing off of the water, onto the ducks feathers, and skipping across the puddles left from too much rain. These days are a gift, left over from summer.  A gift given to sustain us through winter’s grey days, and dark nights.

Take the time to get outside when you can, and when you can’t really make the time, do it anyways. After all, catching the light won’t always be a option.

  9. Ahhhh...you have managed to actually capture the light....I have only managed to follow it, chase it, and on occasion, play with it....but it has not let me capture it.....That's ok too tho - as I think some of my fun would be gone if I caught it.... ;o) Gorgeous photos friend....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

  13. Absolutely. I will out in the garden for a long 4 day weekend, but will keep these wonderful thoughts with me all fall and winter...capture the light! Fortunately my office at work has lots of windows that face the sun most of the day.
