I have come to the realization that my PC and I must be separated for a short length of time while we are house searching. And you could say that I will be eating crow.
When my Husband casually leaned over, and said, “you know that we need to take down the PC, two nights before we move, and you won’t have internet?”
I was shocked, what, no internet?
I mean, I hadn’t thought that moving would entail a lack of internet. No contact with my Bloggy buddies? How will I survive? Lack of TV doesn’t bother me too much, not much on most nights, but computer? Ack!
Now I need to eat crow, and pull out my laptop, warm up it’s chilly black facade, see I knew that turquoise suited me better! I guess my laptop and I will become best buds for a little while. I’ll still be pining for my PC, the one with over 30,000 photos, and all those fun programs, but I am sure that I will adapt.
After all, it’s a superb laptop, it just doesn't feel like my BFF – the PC.
So I went out and bought my first cell phone, yes I am in the 21st century. This baby can email, blog, and do all sorts of things…I just need internet…..right. And I won’t have that for a few days or so.
Whoops!
Ahem…apparently we might be able to figure out something and there should be some free WiFi hanging around the beach. So if you see a Black truck packed to the brim, with a howling cat, and a woman furiously typing away on the laptop keys, you will know that it’s me, LOL.

Oh the withdrawal only lasts a short while. Happy Move.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy. I'm constantly no internet roundabout here in rural Australia. You may very well enjoy it (once you get over the withdrawals!). Have fun...
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean..take the TV but not my laptop. I can check my comments etc from my work cell and I even was blogging from AZ at Thanksgiving...
ReplyDeleteYou can take photos of you lattes at a coffee shop with your new phone and then use the free wifi to post them to your blog.
ReplyDeleteKnowing you I will bet that you take better photos with you phone than I could ever do with my digital camera.
Thanks for taking us along with you.
It is funny, how the thought of no internet can be unsettling! But it is also kind of freeing too.
ReplyDeleteJust take a lot of pictures of everything that happens and share when you can...
Hugs,
Penny
Ah, the sacrifices you have to make to move. My cat howls every time he gets in the car too. Happy travels.
ReplyDeleteHave a great move! Love your photos!!
ReplyDeletebest of luck with the move and I'll be watching for you!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww...poor Jen - At least you know that this is a "planned" separation. Out here, my internet can decide to leave me on a whim for minutes, hours, or even days....I used to have very thick curly hair - not so anymore.... ;o) Love, love, love that crow photo (well, Bootsie is awfully dang handsome himself....although he looks a wee bit perturbed??) Smiles & December Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteI hope you've backed up your hard drive as well as your truck. Happy moving to you and the Boo (and Gar too). Guaranteed we'll all be here waiting for you when you rejoin us on the Internet.
ReplyDeleteI am missing you already! Hurry back! A Phone..well aren't we getting all techie! :)
ReplyDeleteI love my laptop - wouldn't be without it. I also totally love that photo of the crow - it's fabulous!
