I feel conspicuously absent in the blogging world lately. It’s all I can do to just post every few days, and as much as I try to visit everyone, I am falling short. It seems that in a flash the day is gone.
House hunting is taking up most of our time, add in cooking detail, housecleaning, [we are good guests and help out when we can], and the Boo, we end up with days that go like a flash of light.
Seems like it’s morning, we get up, have breakfast, head out to look at more houses, or do errands, and flash the day is over…..again. We have been here for only 2 1/2 weeks, but have crammed so much in the time that we are reeling.
And it seems that I keep missing the beautiful, rare sunny rays that we are bestowed with, never enough time to get the camera out there. But I am trying.
I know it won’t last, and that things will settle down, but I am looking forward to finding a end to the merry go round. Preferably one that ends in our dream home. It will happen eventually.
Oh by the way they tell us it’s Christmas in only a few days….whoops, more errands, and Christmas grocery shopping had better get added to the list. Missed the chance to send Christmas cards this year, and I am trying to coordinate family photos as a gift for my Mom, and Dad. Now that something that requires a secretary to schedule appointments, as everyone else here is coming and going also.
Now where did I put my list.

Just enjoy your new adventure while you can.
ReplyDeleteIt is not easy house hunting at any given time, and it's something you don't want to rush.
ReplyDeleteBut enjoy the search. I for one look forward to hearing the bits about your adventure.
I LOVE that second picture by the way..it should be a calendar pic...
Jen, you need to concentrate on house hunting now, and we understand, plus find some time for Christmas, so blogging is less of a priority.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas early.
Don't worry about us! We will be here when you find your home and get settled into your new life.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny

Good luck with your house hunting. Hope you find that special place soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, Calm down and breathe..I hope you enjoy Christmas! It is always good to hear from you..that last photo is very pretty..you will have a White Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteDon't let us be cause of stress for you. Forget the daily or even weekly posts, makes it even more wonderful when you do post. If I get a post up once a month, I am doing very well. Can't even do that any more. I love the cold look of the second photo, but that first one brought tears to my eyes: I know that light... I have loved that light for years having seen it many winters, it is orange and makes the world glow. It lasts several minutes, and then it is gone. You captured it, and its blue shadows.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I miss your frequent blogs, but I'll just remember that when you settle into your new home, picture after picture and note after note will be forthcoming! Relax and enjoy the moment.....
ReplyDeleteI am sure in time you will sell that perfect home, and the holidays ... Oh well there is always next year. Happy hunting, and take time to catch a few sunrises and sunsets.
ReplyDeleteStarting a new adventure is so exciting but leaving an old, comfortable routine is challenging. I feel ya, we're about to embark on a similar journey. Just keep posting on occasion so we can follow this adventure you are on :) Everything else will come in time. (or so I keep telling myself ;)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThat top gate photo is dreamy!
The right house will present itself!
And the days will get longer.
I understand Jen, hope you find your new place soon.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a Merry Christmas. from Melanie
