We got snow

Armstrong winter shots-1361

Overnight we were gifted with a tiny sprinkling of snow, dusting over the branches. Just enough to give it a Merry Christmas feeling. But not enough [yet, that will come] to make it hard to move around outside. There is still some earlier snow from the other week here, although it’s completely disappeared from the other areas.

I helped out with clearing a fallen tree, filled up my Dad’s log shed, good hearty work. See I already have the country attitude, LOL, and much more fun then going on the cardio bike. Add in two long frosty walks yesterday, and I feel virtuous.  Not to mention that I slept like a log.

Bring on the doughnuts.  Yes, out here they have one the worlds best bakeries….it’s a temptation to bring something home from town each time we are there.  But the dieting roomies are not happy with that, so we must curb our inclinations.

  6. We got a fine sprinkling of white stuff overnight here, as well. I shouldn't admit it, but I'm kind of longing for a lot more.

It is wonderful to get outside in the crisp air and work at something, isn't it?

I'm not sure I want to know about this bakery....

  7. I love snow! Especially during December. What pretty pictures. I think if you are walking and cleaning and hauling, doughnuts can't be bad for you, right?

  13. I'm with Barb. Dieting is for January. Besides you're outdoors being hearty, working off those donuts. I hope you're enjoying your new digs. Gorgeous photos!

  14. Jen working outside and exercising during the winter is so refreshing...I say eat the donuts on the way home and then the dieters won't see them.

  15. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm...a little...bit...jealous. No snow here yet. A dusting would be nice. Everything looks all brown and gray. I know, "Be careful what you wish for!" Glad to hear you're sleeping well in your new locale--that is truly a very good thing!

  16. There's nothing as invigorating as physical exercise or labour outside!

    Lovely shots.
