Spotty internet has me seeing polka dots!

Maybe it’s the internets fault, or maybe it’s from oncoming snowstorms.  But things are slow, and spotty, in blog land when I try to read your blogs.  It’s so frustrating that I am seeing polka dots, those little circles that seem to just go around forever, while the blog loads!

So I’m sorry if you are one of the people who’s blog I just can’t seem to leave a comment on.  I am trying to read them all, it’s just that for some reason, I either can’t pull up your blog, or if I can, I can’t leave a comment on it.

At first I thought it was our internet connection here at the farm, it does seem to be affected by oncoming snow storms, and I can lose the connection at any time suddenly.  I can post, not too many problems there, but I just can’t read, or comment on many of the blogs that I used to be able to see without any difficulty.  But then I started to read about other bloggers having the same difficulties….and I knew it was a mixture of both internet, and blog land.

Polka dots those slow circles,  are driving me….round the bend.  So now you know, if you haven’t heard from me in a while, there is a good reason.

Please wait, sending request….

  1. Got your comment on my blog Jen so you made it through there! As long as the internet works in the new house we'll all be happy. Can't wait to see photos and I'm sure you can't wait to move in. Best wishes, ~M

  2. Jen girl : )
Sorry about the blog problems .. we had WICKED wind last night that shook the house and it takes a lot to do that here !
You asked about my little Charlie Brown pine tree in the pot .. it is about 8 years old now .. originally an Austrian Pine so you know how BIG they can get .. the pot and some pruning keep it as a large Bonsai .. it must like me to stick around this long ? LOL
Thanks for dropping by so often kid .. I know you are squeezed for time .. hey I signed up for Kim Klassen textures but now I have to buy a Photoshop program since I don't have one .. but I love her textures and techniques !
Good luck with the blog world girl !!

  3. Hi,

Again it seems to be a blogger issue and it's been ongoing for coming up to 10 months or so now where I just cannot post on certain blogs, so I moved to wordpress and for the most part it's been OK. However just recently problems with bloog have cropped up again and I either can't post or even read the blog at all as it appears blank!!

    Very frustrating.

  5. It's been frustrating, most of us have a small window of time to read and comment on blogs...and when you can't load, or leave a comment, it takes the entire window up.

I thought at first it was the Farm internet, but obviously if others are having difficulties it's not just me.

  6. Hey Jen, I've been following your blog since right about the time you moved. I will say that when I downloaded Google Chrome any problems I had with commenting completely disappeared. Granted I still use the regular Google page also, but when I'm doing anything blogwise I open up Google Chrome. Don't know if this will help but it was worth a thought. Carol

  8. Our internet can act funny according to the weather, especially if we've had a lot of rain. Some days it would take so long loading I would just give up. My brother the comp wizz told me to unplug the router for 20 secs and see if it helped and it does help. He did explain the tech side of what it does but in one ear out the other for me with that stuff. Might be worth a try tho.

  9. I also use Google Chrome, and am mostly just reading about other people's problems. I think some of the current wave of blogspot problems is tied up with the new Reply capability on comments. I tried it, WON'T work, so I have gone back to the old version. And I'm the proud recipient of a comment from you Jen!

If the blogger provides a full feed, Google Reader is always quick. Granted you can't comment, unless you load the blog. But you can at least keep up with reading quickly.

  10. I was having same problems with SOME...it was suggested I go to Google Chrome. I did...and I don't like it, but I was allowed to load and comment. Then...I went back to IE and have not had a problem since! (Chrome is still here, should the problem arise again...)

  11. I, too, stopped having so many issues when I switched by browser from Firefox to Google Chrome. I'm seeing that it's worse in blogs with the embedded comments at the bottom of the post and also blogs that are heavy on sidebar content from outside sources. I really hope blogger resolves this soon because it's a shame.

  12. I am wondering now if my blog is giving problems, or if I just don't have much traffic. How does one know?
