I’m still waiting

They say there are signs of spring showing up on the coast.

I’m still waiting, we just got more snow again.  And the snow plows have been running all night.  Gone are the city noises, now we are wakened by the giant diesel trucks running the roads and pushing snow all night…

They take snow very seriously up here.

And I take spring very seriously.  I guess the snow plows won this round.

  1. We had a very mild, almost snow-less winter so far. I told everyone not to rush to put away their winter gear, because we are starting the greenhouses this week. When we start paying to heat those 7000 sq. ft. of plastic, winter will come. Guess what--I have a long road trip to pick up a load of plants--and it's snowing, and there are a few accidents because drivers forgot their winter driving skills. Sure glad I didn't take off the winter tires yet!

  2. Hi there. I hope you are feeling better. It stinks doesn't it. Hubby and I are home safely and laying low. His dental surgery went okay. So far so good. Good thing we don't have kids to take care of.....well we do.....two doggies. Hope you can rest this week-end.

  4. Yea, we thought we were done with the white stuff. The Frenchman took the sandbags out of his truck already. I'm hoping they keep those roads clear. I don't like having to drive on them like this.

  9. We are still waiting for spring, too. We could still have some our worst winter weather yet. But spring will come and your beautiful mountains will be glorious with much to explore and learn and you will post gorgeous photos with wonderful narrative. I can't wait. Happy Weekend.

  10. After our beautiful day on Thursday, yesterday was cold and the wind was howling. Winter is not ready to let go quite yet. :)
