I’ll do it, if you will do it…

So are you up to a little challenge, there was such great support over my getting the bike, everyone is saying go for it! That I thought wouldn't it be wonderful if we all supported each other, a kind of I’ll do it, if you’ll do it challenge. Exercise that it, any kind, just get out there and do some.  Leave a comment saying what you did, or plan on doing to get yourself moving…we can do this.  I challenge you to move yourself a little more, and at the end of next month, lets see how we do. After all, we don’t want to end up like this heap above….

I had a pretty busy day yesterday, running around, doing some gardening, and a really good bike ride in the setting sun, after I came back more gardening as the sun went down.

So I thought hey, why can’t we support each other, just kind of let each other know, that we are moving ourselves, and yes, others can do it also. I will organize something that we can leave comments on, just give me a day or so…until then leave a comment on my blog.

Things are busy around here, seems like we are always coming and going, but this morning I am going “garage sailing” with my Mom.  It’s not something I enjoy doing, but hey, time with my Mom is time with my Mom….

Wonder how many new friends I am going to make today, LOL.

So let me know if you are up to the challenge.

  1. Of course I need to be encouraged (that's a good word for prodded) to get up and move. I walked three miles this week then went to the gym and did the eliptical thing two days for a total of 4 miles or 400 calories. Haven't lost an ounce!

  2. I'm up for it Jen :) I joined the YMCA again...haven't been for over two years! I'm not starting until May 1 though. I used to do Yoga but again haven't done it for a while either. BUT Starting today I will bring my mat out and get back into it. My bike is covered with dust but today I will ask hubby to bring it out and air up the tires for me and when it's not windy...I'll hit our country roads around the farm. I may even take my camera ;). Good luck to you and have fun!

  3. I have a bike, but the tires are flat. I have been wanting to drag it out and start riding.

  4. I literally BEGGED, hinted, sent pictures to my kids of the bike I wanted for Mother's Day 2 years ago. They were gems and got it for me! I've probably ridden it a total of 8 times!! It is too cute too with basket, bell, lights! I'm definitely up for the challenge! Now if I can managed to take down from the ceiling of my garage where it is hanging! :)

  6. Great idea Jen. I've been trying to get motivated lately to walk but feel I have to walk the dog as well and he pulls so much it really hurts my back and arms. I have been avoiding it and am trying to get my hubby to walk the dog instead. I have been doing yardwork though (which also aggravates my bad shoulder and arm) but it feels good to get out. I even raked our daughter's front yard last night! lol (I'm in Fort McMurray). Take care and enjoy the bike riding!

  8. Today was a couch potato day with the laptop. My excuse is that the day was grey, all the way. Unusual for us. Tomorrow I'll get back in the garden ma'am!

  9. I'll accept the challenge! I don't have my bike here in NC but I am only one mile from my favorite park! I will start walking again...how about 3 times this coming week? Are we going to have a club with a secret handshake and everything?

  11. Ooops! Deleted my above comment because I was mixed up which blog I was on. Wanted to say good for you and I will join in! Trying to get myself back in fighting shape, want to lose weight and be healthier, not stuck on numbers as far as pounds. We have had a crazy life here the last two weeks, so next week will be mine to get back on the train. I do 2 strength classes at the gym a week, water aerobics and spin for cardio. And someone gave me a jumprope for my birthday, so I guess I will be doing some of that. As always, your pictures are lovely. Ann

  12. Funny you should issue such a challenge... we just got a new treadmill shipped and set up last week so I could start doing some walking (can't walk around our neighborhood for lack of sidewalks and dangerous traffic). So I'll be joining you in getting daily exercise!

  13. I am up to the challenge. I may be slow to start. We did get a nice hike in today but usually just once a week. It is hilly here where we have just moved to. I will have to locate a dirt trail so I can ride my bike...I like walking with Lesley Sansone..dvd, something I haven't done for a long time..
