Warm winter wishes

1-Christmas lighs-0484

Winter’s cold casts a glow amongst our hearts.

2-Christmas lighs-0486

Even though it wears a snowy coat.

The tree is outside…..allergies, but I couldn’t bear to take everything down yet.

  5. My tree came down on the 26th. It was too crispy to leave up any longer. I left my other decorations up, too. I'll probably take them down next week.

  8. I was allergic to cats and Christmas trees when I was young and thankfully grew out of both. Sorry to hear about your tree allergy. Your photos are so warm and glowing. Wishing you a wonderful new year, Jen!

  9. Oh I just love these pictures Jen. My decorations are still up too. I've put away a few things and am making ready for winter themes. One little tree will stay up for a while. I like the lights at night. Snow storm # 3 is upon us. Church was cancelled after we got there. Nasty day.

  10. As the saying goes, there is no place like home. Looks like you settled beautifully into your new home … like with a comfy cushion. Of course, Bootsie is at home wherever you are. Happy New Year, Jen, to you and yours!

  14. Beautiful pictures. The cat wondering about those lights ("Could I string those around the house?") is very cute.

  16. Beautiful Jen and Bootsie looks very happy that you've left some of your lovely decorations and lights up! Still in full Christmas mode here, the thought of undecorating always makes me so sad. So I'm going to wait until after the New Year :O) Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year! Deb

  17. Jen, it makes me so happy to see all your sparkly projects pulled together. They look serenely classy. Yours was a stroke of genius, especially for those purchasing a live tree, having your tree on the deck this year. My baubles won’t start coming down for another week. As the new year and new beginnings come closer, I love to reflect and look forward to this journey by the lights on the tree . . . and on the porch . . . and on the buffet . . . okay, lots of lights to lead me. Wishing you and yours the promise of all good things in the new year.

  22. Bootsie always makes me smile. Do you have a real tree then even with the allergies? I have seen a number of houses around this year with trees on their porches, the effect is quite beautiful.

  23. Haha ~ it's hard to see those decorations get put away for another year. But time goes so fast I am sure we will be decorating again before we know it.

Have a very happy New Year Jen!

  28. Your post is timely for me. We've had our first frost the past couple of nights and awakened to glistening twinkles all over the roof glinting as the sun rises. And your observation that winter makes you glow inside is perfect!
