Winter’s cold casts a glow amongst our hearts.
Even though it wears a snowy coat.
The tree is outside…..allergies, but I couldn’t bear to take everything down yet.
And neither could he.

Lovely Jen...our decorations are up still too!
Bootsie is precious and I love the dragonfly, too. Happy New Year.
Bootsie is cute as always and fabulous shots. You're ver creative. Sorry about the tree.
oh know, allergies , thats so sad, beautiful photos though, take care,
My tree came down on the 26th. It was too crispy to leave up any longer. I left my other decorations up, too. I'll probably take them down next week.
Jen girl those are gorgeous "warm" shots .. so pretty .. we woke up to more snow than we have had in a few years .. hey, Boo realizes what happened to that cat in Lampoon's Christmas Vacation right ??LOLJoy
Awesome photos ! I will be taking all my Christmas decorations down new years day ! If I don't catch up to before then here;s hoping you have a Happy New Year !
I was allergic to cats and Christmas trees when I was young and thankfully grew out of both. Sorry to hear about your tree allergy. Your photos are so warm and glowing. Wishing you a wonderful new year, Jen!
Oh I just love these pictures Jen. My decorations are still up too. I've put away a few things and am making ready for winter themes. One little tree will stay up for a while. I like the lights at night. Snow storm # 3 is upon us. Church was cancelled after we got there. Nasty day.
As the saying goes, there is no place like home. Looks like you settled beautifully into your new home … like with a comfy cushion. Of course, Bootsie is at home wherever you are. Happy New Year, Jen, to you and yours!
I never take my tree down until after our New Years Eve celebration. Mind you it isn't a real one. Hope you have a lovely New Years Jen.
LOL- I LOVE your "helper". That dragonfly is GORGEOUS-Blessings- xo Diana
Boo is oh so cute!!! Thanks for all your beautiful posts throughout the year Jen. They inspire me and also lift my spirits on many a day. Wishing you a wonderful 2013!
Beautiful pictures. The cat wondering about those lights ("Could I string those around the house?") is very cute.
Lovely pictures Jen, so serene! Bootsie is adorable, there is no greater pleasure than seeing our pets looking so cute, but it is so much better to have captured the memory forever! Cheers.
Beautiful Jen and Bootsie looks very happy that you've left some of your lovely decorations and lights up! Still in full Christmas mode here, the thought of undecorating always makes me so sad. So I'm going to wait until after the New Year :O) Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year! Deb
Jen, it makes me so happy to see all your sparkly projects pulled together. They look serenely classy. Yours was a stroke of genius, especially for those purchasing a live tree, having your tree on the deck this year. My baubles won’t start coming down for another week. As the new year and new beginnings come closer, I love to reflect and look forward to this journey by the lights on the tree . . . and on the porch . . . and on the buffet . . . okay, lots of lights to lead me. Wishing you and yours the promise of all good things in the new year.
Bootsie looks like he can't decide what to do with those lights. Happy New Year.Judy
Very classy Jen. All pictures are so delightful a glow. Love your sweet Bootsie. Do you know Kathy at FKH Photo Journal.I tried three times to get into her site to comment and my whole page freezed up. I had to boot out.Anyone elses blogs have not had this problem. So if you know her. Becareful. it does not happen. My one friend said it is her blog that has frozen. I said really. So if that is so she will not know.I could not even x out.
Pretty pictures as always. All those jars filled with sparkles! So happy looking. Bright. Color in winter is so important to me. Our decorations are still up Both Jeff and I are off on tuesday so we will probably take things down then. Whoops looks like Bootsie is ready to take some down for you!
And warm winter wishes to you too, Jen, for 2013.
Bootsie always makes me smile. Do you have a real tree then even with the allergies? I have seen a number of houses around this year with trees on their porches, the effect is quite beautiful.
Haha ~ it's hard to see those decorations get put away for another year. But time goes so fast I am sure we will be decorating again before we know it.Have a very happy New Year Jen!xo Catherine
"Winter's cold casts a glow amongst our hearts..." What a lovely way to describe it. There is a certain mood...
Get a fake tree:) Then you can have it up a really long time..and Boo can learn to climb it! Wonderful photos..we took the Blue Tree down today..the Shiny Brite one is still up. Lovely photos all:)
Oh what wonderful shots! We don't take our decorations down until end of Jan - at least!
Love this post, Jen. Bootsie isn't ready to give up the fun yet.Hugs,Laura
Your post is timely for me. We've had our first frost the past couple of nights and awakened to glistening twinkles all over the roof glinting as the sun rises. And your observation that winter makes you glow inside is perfect!
