Brewing tea

“He brewed his tea in a blue china pot, poured it into a chipped white cup with forget-me-nots on the handle, and dropped in a dollop of honey and cream. He sat by the window, cup in hand, watching the first snow fall. "I am," he sighed deeply, "contented as a clam. I am a most happy man.”
Ethel Pochocki, Wildflower Tea

  14. What a beautiful quote, Jen. A perfect reminder to slow down, sit down and enjoy this part of your life (even if you are sick of the snow :) ). And that a cup of tea should be treated as an event! Ann

  16. Mmmm... now I really want some tea. It's perfect for this time of year. By the way, I left a note about the False Rue Anemone and our climates: Our temperature extremes are probably similar to yours. Ours range from about -20F (-29C) at the coldest to 105F (41C) at the hottest. Your climate might be drier in a "normal" year, but we were extremely dry this year. I'm amazed that anything survives such tough conditions!

  17. These photos are sooo cool. I can see that you have used a bit of texture. I really need to work more on using textures. I have played around with Picasa and Photoshop, but the texture is always too heavy. But yours are perfect. Thank you for your kind comment that you left on Violet.
