I’ve tried not to whine
many others.
It’s not easy to accept
that it’s going to be
white here for a long
time, but then again, if
you can’t beat them,
join them. Right?
So myself and a few
other bloggers
have decided to join
forces, snow shovels
and snow blowers in
starting a linkup on Sunday
mornings called No Winter Whining.
There will be Heather from Life is like a garden, and Lynn, who doesn’t blog [yet] you can find her on
And then we have Laura, from I’m so vintage who is also going to and myself Jen @ Muddy Boot Dreams we
will all take turns hosting the link up each Sunday morning.
Our first topic is going to be Finding color in winter, and we are leaving it open to your interpretation as to what you would like to post about…Just be sure to use lots of colorful photos, the point of this link up is not only to embrace winter, but to bring some color to our lives.
We have a Face Book page, we would love to have you post your thoughts, and photos of winter, and “like us.”
And we have a No Winter Whining board on Pinterest if you would like to be added to that board just drop
us a email at nowinterwhining@gmail.com.
We will be letting you know more details as they are sorted out before Sunday.
We are all looking forward to seeing you there.

I like this idea. Does Brown count as color? Because that's pretty much it on the plains. I'll see what I an come up with. A great chance to make new friends.
ReplyDeleteFun idea and I look forward to it!
ReplyDeleteWinter has only just started and already many are whinning about it. I'll check out your link up, but I'm not into Facebook and for sure not into anything of mine going on Pinterest. I'm sure I will enjoy reading the link ups.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like fun Jen. I am at church on Sunday mornings so will try to link up later in the day. The 4 hour time difference will help.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness. It sounds like you're starting a movement. I can't help thinking, as I pore over paint samples, how much variance there is in the colour white - as you well know from your own recent painting experience. Here, our snow ranges in colour from blinding white, to indigo blue. It's quite beautiful. Best wishes to you with your project.
ReplyDeleteAfter many years, I've discovered that there is an art to enjoying winter. Save all the stuff you love to do indoors, and do it then. :)
ReplyDeleteSo I'm not much of a Winter Whiner anymore, and I'm the worst at making it on time to post party blog stuff, but I'll enjoy following along.
:)

ReplyDelete(I'll be unplugged but I leave a sunny skies blue blog, and a sea glass green blog) Today I was picking deepest pink and white striped roses.
ReplyDeleteSounds like FUN! I would love to join in...but it would have to be white sand...or dead white grass! lol It was 82 here today which is warm even for us! Love your photos! I guess you'll let me play along...won't you?
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I don't whine much, but I do whine about winter! I will try to be a good girl this winter, and I'll try to join in the meme when possible.
