Nothing like a
little
touch of red
to chase
away
the winter
blues.
Buy yourself a bunch of tulips and watch the winter blahs just fade away.
Something about the bravery of any flower that dares to bloom in the depths of winter.
Will surely capture your heart.
And your lens.

Good Morning, Jen. Your photos are gorgeous. John grew up near Holland, MI and I have always wanted to go there to view the tulips!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. It's pretty gray here today, and after sitting out in the little screened porch I came inside, and was blasted with the colors and happiness inside our little cottage. It made me thankful for all my many blessings.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend ~ FlowerLady
such a treat for the eyes an soul! Thank you Jen!
ReplyDeleteNext to daisies, tulips are my 'go to' flower when I need a lift. These are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour photos of tulips made my day. Isn't it funny how a bouquet of flowers, especially in the winter can brighten up our lives!! Perhaps with hope that the colorful world will soon surface!!
ReplyDeleteRed flowers do warm the heart. Perhaps that is why we celebrate Valentine's Day smack in the middle of winter. Say, when I did I miss your new blog look? Have I been sleeping? Or just pre occupied? I love it.
ReplyDeleteOh yes ~ a pretty bunch of flowers can surely chase those winter blues away! Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful weekend Jen!

Hi Jen. These are beautiful photos of your tulips. I love buying tulips in winter and they will soon be available at the grocery store. They come from PEI and I am watching for them to arrive. Enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteI've got a bad case of the blahs right now, another GREY day out there today!!! Excellent suggestions for chasing them away, thanks Jen. And the photos, just fab!
ReplyDeletePS: Your header is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love tulips, Jen! They do brighten up a day.

Absolutely beautiful photos Jen... I love seeing red (not emotionally seeing red, tee hee), in the winter too, just perks the spirits! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos . Having flowers in the house this time of year really makes it easier to cope with the winter blahs ! I love your header photos . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteTulipany w grudniu pięknie wyglądają, przypominają wiosnę. Zrobiłaś im cudowne zdjęcia. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteTulips in December, look beautiful, like spring. They've done a wonderful picture. Yours.
Nice feast for the eyes to see that bright red.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like some bright colour to warm you up. Red is definitely one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, rich colour. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the drenched colour and the sheen of the petals. It is very uplifting in this monochromatic season. :)
ReplyDeleteSo true Jen which is why I love the Christmas cactus and amaryllis for some color
ReplyDeleteNice idea. I was just thinking of seeing some green and other colors by visiting one of the area conservatories.
ReplyDeleteRed tulips are a good solution, Jen. But then I’d have to get dressed and go to town . . . it probably is worth the effort seeing your vibrant photo’s.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Jen. I love tulips and daffodils. Seeing them makes me think spring will be here before we know it :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Laura
I love red! So lovely... I don't think I'll see spring for a long time. In the mean time I'll enjoy the snow. You can now find me at blogspot besides in other words and pictures. I wish for you lots of days of color...
