When winter gets me down
and when I think it’s all just
not going to end any time soon
when each snowy day seems to
last forever, I search my
photography archives to remind
myself that winter isn’t going
to last all the time.
That spring will return, that
the gardens will show up again.
Blue skies will prevail.
In my archives I can find photos
that make my heart sing, bring
a smile to my face, and great memories.
Days of amazing photo ops..sunny crisp, cold, and feathered friends.
Hot pink mittens, cold frosty breath…and bird seed.
True perfect winter memories.
And I know that it won’t last forever
it can’t last forever. Spring will have
it’s turn..but for now it’s winter’s show.
And the show is almost at a end.
Jen @ Muddy Boot Dreams.
Jen your skills with a camera are simply amazing.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoy seeing your photos and these today were amazing. It is almost March - ours looks like it will come in like a lion so it can hopefully go out like a lamb :-)
ReplyDeleteJen you need to publish a coffee table book. You take the most amazing photos. The pink glove with the bird is so pretty. I am hoping spring makes it there for you soon. I live in such a different climate it is hard for me to imagine.
ReplyDeleteJen... these are the most beautiful photos... who wants spring when you can get photos like this in winter ;)
ReplyDeleteCheers~
Beautiful pics Jen. I love the bright pink mittens and of course hand feeding the chickadee. What variety of chickadee is that with the rust on it? It's a beautiful sunny day here and calm - no wind and zero Celsius. I should get out with my camera. Enjoy the day.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous photos, Jen. Simply wonderful.

As always I just LOVE your photos.
Now I want to go out and see if I can get a bird to eat seeds from my hand...but we have heavy rain right now--sigh*

Fabulous pictures of your chickadees Jen, so beautiful! Yes, winter is making a comeback around here so as Heather reminded me in her blog post today, we should enjoy her while she is here :O)

Your Chickadees look a little different than ours. Ours don't have that rusty color. I have been trying to photograph ours..they are very skittish. Lovely photos..:)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Winter is so beautiful where you live. How'd you get that bird to sit in your hand?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos . . . we are in the "hope" phase . . . like waiting for a gift . . .
ReplyDeleteA charmer of a post, Jen.
ReplyDeleteIt is so cool having the little guys eating out of your hand. That last shot is stellar!
ReplyDeleteJen these are such precious amazing shots...I had a bunch of cuties in the garden this morning eating suet and seed heads. Perhaps it is a sign.
ReplyDeleteAmazing pics!
ReplyDeleteChickadees are so friendly. They have great personalities, though I have never been able to get one to eat from my hand.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. Here in Southeast Texas I can't relate to endless winters, but my heart goes out to those who have them and don't want them. (Come on down to Texas!)
ReplyDeleteAs for spring, yes, it will come, and nothing can stop it.
P.S. I looked around your beautiful blog and am your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteJen, amazing photo's. You captured that chestnut backed chickadee in great splendor! I agree with many of the other commentors - note cards? coffee table book of winter wonders? Your photography is stunning! Cheers, Jenni
ReplyDeleteWOW! Great pictures. Hope you are well. If it's any comfort to you I envy your snow.
ReplyDeleteIncredible shots, Jen. I agree with all the other comments. How did you get those shots? For the most part, I'm tired of winter photos, but yours are inspirational!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Your chickadees have different coloring than ours. My husband is the bird feeder in our house, through an actual feeder he can see from the window, and he liked these photos.
