I had this happen last month for the same reason. I sent google/blogger a message and it was restored in less than a day with an apology but no explanation. Seems we are all at the mercy of blogger and google.

That's awful! I've had my account suspended before and suspected that a spammer commenting on the blog triggered the Google 'bots to shut me down. Google has complex algorithms in place just like credit card companies have for fraud detection. It's hard to know what unique actions occur that match up to their criteria for shutdown, but apparently changing your password is causing the bots to think that fraud is occurring and they shut you down for "your own protection". It's great when it really is some fraudulent person, but is awful when it's just you.

It happened to me too recently, and I never did get my blog back. I finally gave up and started a new one. Maddening, in the extreme! And it wasn't Blogger per se, it was Google. Someone hacked into my google account, tried to order something from Google Checkout, and that is what suspended my account. I emailed them several times, but kept getting the run around or no answer. Finally they said it took me too long for me to recover my account and that it was simply deleted. ARGH! I still want all my old posts back, and can't even find a place to contact anyone that can help. I saved the fraudulent email that started it all, and it has a name and address right on it. I can't help but think that the more things are connected on the Internet (Chrome, Picasa, YouTube, Blogger, etc) the more propensity there is for things to go very, very wrong. Firefox blew up on me the other day when I was working on a page on my new website (bloominganswers.com, you're invited, Jen!) and I haven't been able to use it since. So I'm back to Safari, but the latest update of Safari for Mac is working great so it's okay. I guess patience and persistence is the way to manage these things.

Be very glad, it's awful to have everything disappear.

If you have a cell phone, make sure that you do opt in for the verification code. Last summer I didn't have a cell phone, and it took a week to get access to my email again.

Uff, I´ve never experienced that and knock on wood hope I never do! I´ve never changed anything though on my account except google once made me sign up for gmail which I never use, so they made that my log in email...other then that I haven´t changed my password, dear Lord I can barely remember the password I have, can´t start changing that or I´ll never get in again!!!

I'm a Canon girl all the way. Once I decided which brand to go with I knew that I would probably be committed for life if I bought any lens, [barring winning the lottery], so it's Canon for me.

I have one of the slightly earlier Rebel series XSi is the one that I think I have, honestly, I have always felt it's the photographer, not the camera that counts.

I had the same type of thing happen about a year ago. They said my blog was flagged. I had no idea of what was going on and hadn't changed anything.
It's kind of stressful thinking you may have lost all of those pictures and hard work. Glad you got it all back.

Sorry to hear this happened and I know it's unhelpful but; leave blogger. It's been going downhill for the past year now and wordpress is much better.

I decided to leave blogger after 6 months of waiting for them to finally fix their login issues which was stopping me replying to many blogs. A few days I think is reasonable, maybe even a week or two, but 6 months and it's STILL happening as I often login to my blogger account anyway just to read other's blogs and I know I still can't reply to them so login to my wordpress account.

PS have you tried one of those - is my IP blocked ...

Now that's not nice! I think I read another blog a couple days ago that something happened to hers and she had to switch to Google Chrome. I've been having difficulty bringing up people's posts when I click on the post title. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I have to click on the blog name to get it. I also tried to comment on a blog before I read yours and it froze and wouldn't move. I'm finding my blog and internet very slow today too. I wonder what's going on?? Glad you got yours back. Pamela

Well it was pretty maddening when you can't access any of your emails, and everything connected to it.

Blogger has some real issues lately, maybe they are all distracted.

And now the comments are not showing up on my email when you leave them...sigh.

But at least this morning more parts of my blog are showing up. That has been a consistent problem as of late. And not just on my blog.

what lovely photos of flowers. just beauitful. so sorry to hear this. i have heard of others having issues. right this minute i don't recall which blogs ... i've been having trouble with blogger ... like posting to my blog & certain blogs loading. no clue what is going on. makes you wonder if that is why others have gone to another platform to write their blogs.
